The Polypropylene Erlenmeyer Flask systems by Scientific are a unique and patented solution, specifically designed for microbiology and biotechnology applications. These flasks provide optimal growth conditions for aerobic microorganisms, mammalian cells, and plant cells, outperforming standard Erlenmeyer flasks in both culture growth and productivity. The high oxygen absorption rate is achieved through the innovative baffling and turbo-vane closure design, enhancing the availability of dissolved oxygen and improving cell yields. Each Full-Baffle Shake Flask, with a working volume of 100 ml, features six baffles that create a propeller motion, ensuring efficient mixing and aeration.
Durable Design and Easy Maintenance
TUNAIR™ systems come equipped with Dri-Gauze filters made from 0.22 micron nitrocellulose, which can be reused up to 12 times and are fully autoclavable within the cap. The two-piece cap assemblies, constructed of solvent-resistant polypropylene, are also autoclavable and designed for easy filter replacement. The set includes twelve 300 ml Full-Baffle Shake Flasks, twelve two-piece caps, and fifteen Dri-Gauze filters. Maintenance is straightforward: simply pinch the flanges of the inner-closure shell to replace the filter lining, and clean all components by soaking in water with a light detergent solution, followed by air drying.
